[The video feed clicks on, and oh hey it's the student kitchens in the background. There's two big pots on the stove and a really big rice cooker over there on the counter and oh hello there's a Bulba in the feed now. He's given up on the effort of trying not to seem really tired, and he seems pretty distracted on top of that.]

In case you were wondering um... Kirby had to go back to Dreamland for a while. Something came up...

[He frowns, looking like he really doesn't want to talk about it and makes a motion towards the stove with his head to switch the subject.]

Oh, uh, if anyone's hungry or whatever, I made some curry and... kind of made too much out of habit... There's both spicy and mild so. People are welcome to it so it doesn't go to waste. It's down here in the student kitchens.

Uh... that's it. Thanks.

[And then the feed cuts off.]

It's kind of like a stew, with meat and vegetables or whatever you have around. Usually on the spicy side... I'm going to put it on some rice.

[Here comes a Raikov. Bulba is the much more preferred one out of the two toad pokemon. He has no grudge against him and he is a good cook.. so there's no reason to be nasty to him. ]

[Bulba was already up and getting a plate for him to try and make this as quick as possible. He wasn't going to make a fuss out of it but he's probably a bit more tense then he would have otherwise been.]

Hi... Did you want to try the spicy or the mild?

[Why would someone eat something really spicy. That takes all the flavor out of it. While he's a glutton... and Russian mustard is very spicy, he'd rather not have an upset tummy tonight.]

Er.. Mild, please.

[Aww yeah plate of rice. Aww yeah he's ladling out some goop from one of the pots over it.]

It's not always the most appetizing looking stuff but... Here you go.

[Here is your plate of goop. There are potatoes and carrots and onions and apples and some tiny pieces of tomato and... Yeah there is just a lot of stuff. This is the vegetarian one. Oh also a fork.]

[Pff. It doesn't have to look appetizing for him to it eat. Raikov takes a rather big forkful and shoves it into his mouth. He attempts to eat it slowly, to savor the flavour. ... He looks deep in thought. Oh. Yeah. He's not leaving either.]

[Ugh why was he the polite one. He'll.. just... stir the curry some more as Raikov thinks about it.]

... This is really good. It's a pity you quit culinary arts.

[A-Awwwkward turtle.]

Oh. Uh. T-thank you... [Stirring stirring stirring.]

I miss it, but it needed to be done.

[It is awkward now. But Raikov decides to be blunt]

He no longer teaches, if that's what you were concerned about.

[The stirring stops. He is staring very hard into this pot of curry.]

[Raikov scarfs down the rest of his plate and holds it out towards him]

[He gives the plate a look and takes it, quietly filling it one more time. There it is.]

[That did surprise him a little. He raised an eyebrow at Bulba before he began eating again, although more slowly this time]

I'm not going to make any excuses for them. They can be jerks, I can't deny that. But I know there's a whole lot more to them than what you see. Not that I expect you to believe me.

[He pauses.]

... But I'm sure there's a lot more to Mr. Volgin that you understand better than other people too.
