[The video feed clicks on, and oh hey it's the student kitchens in the background. There's two big pots on the stove and a really big rice cooker over there on the counter and oh hello there's a Bulba in the feed now. He's given up on the effort of trying not to seem really tired, and he seems pretty distracted on top of that.]

In case you were wondering um... Kirby had to go back to Dreamland for a while. Something came up...

[He frowns, looking like he really doesn't want to talk about it and makes a motion towards the stove with his head to switch the subject.]

Oh, uh, if anyone's hungry or whatever, I made some curry and... kind of made too much out of habit... There's both spicy and mild so. People are welcome to it so it doesn't go to waste. It's down here in the student kitchens.

Uh... that's it. Thanks.

[And then the feed cuts off.]

I'll remember if you don't! Say... Were you guys best friends? Well, if not best best friends, then you were definitely good friends; I can tell. You must miss him a lot.

Yeah, he wa... is my best friend. [He looks down a bit.] We were going out for a little while, up until he left. I miss him a ton.

[At this point, sympathy nails him in the heart, and Pit's smile disappears. He's not sure what 'going out' meant, but it made him curious because it sounded like an important detail. His head tilts a little as he looks at him with unrestrained feeling.]

Going out?

Oh, uh. We were dating? For a few months.

Dating? As in... [WHOAAA he's just gonna stare at Bulba for a few unblinking moments.] I had no idea! ...

...Really?

[Oh geez. All that unrelenting staring is making him turn a little pink.]

Really! It wasn't really a secret or anything but neither of us really saw the need to announce I guess.

Oh wow, oh wow~! Two of my friends were dating and I had no idea! [He lifts his hands to his cheeks and starts smiling like an idiot, blushing like Bulba, only with less of an intense hue.] You need to tell me more! What made you fall in love? How did it happen? How did you know? How many dates did you go on?

[Wow Pit, stop being so excited. You're going to make Bulba shrivel up at this rate!]

[And shrivel up he does! He's definitely not used to these kinds of questions and it's showing. Pit's enthusiasm is kind of infectious though, and Bulba manages to chuckle a little, glancing away in almost embarrassment.]

I'm not sure if I can say it was love but... I've cared about him a lot for a long time. But um... You know Kirby. He's just very sweet and... [He shrugs a little.] I love his smile a lot. Mmm... I don't know how many we actually went on, we did a bunch fo stuff before I actually told him anything... It was official in January.

[DOES THAT. APPEASE YOU.]

[THE ANGEL HAS BEEN APPEASED. But he will not go away.]

Kirby is very sweet! I don't blame you for getting mushy feelings. Ahh, I can definitely see you two together! What a cute match. [He pressed his index fingers together.]

[But then his giddiness has to run to a halt. He sinks a little.] Mmmn... But he left for a bit. It must be hard to have your boyfriend leave like this. Missing someone must be twice as hard when they're that close to you. Friends are one thing, but when your friend is, um... how do you say... [He keeps bouncing his fingers off one another] yes. I don't know how to describe, but... you probably know what I mean more than I do! Hahaha.

Haha, yeah, I know what you mean... [He sombers some, lifting his gaze towards the ceiling.]

People go to their best friends when something happens with their boyfriends, or they go to their boyfriends if something happens with their best friends... I guess I'm kind of at a loss since they were both the same person for me.

[Yeah, it's somber time. Pit feels even more sorry for Bulba because his last sentence hit him most. He wishes he could have redone some days in his life and spent them with Bulba so that he could be even closer of a friend for him to confide in, but that wouldn't change the fact that Kirby was most definitely his best friend, and he was just a friend, so he couldn't do anything to make Bulba better. How hopeless; it hurt to know that.

But that didn't mean he couldn't at least support him in some way. Any way would be good. He was at a loss of words, so he couldn't find a single thing to say. Instead, he extended his hand out, palm-up, looking expectantly at Bulba.]

[It wasn't to say he was alone. He had friends. He had his team. But at a time when everyone had their own problems to sort through he didn't want to be a bother.

So it was with a little bit of surprise that he blinked down at Pit's hand. He gave Pit a somewhat puzzled look, but tentatively reached out and placed his hand on the angel's.]

[Pit gives his hand a squeeze.]

It may not be much, but I'm looking out for you, too. We all are. Your team, your friends... and I bet Kirby's thinking about you right now!
