increasingly witty post title

Who: Saurs
What: Gardens
When: April 28th-May…. 11th…?
Where: Kanto
Warnings: No.

The whole train ride had been just a huge bundle of twists and knots in his stomach as he stared out the window. He'd left his team behind in a mess to go traipsing off to Kanto and- and Green had encouraged it, Bulba had to remind himself. It was okay. This was something he felt like he had to do.

Of course that didn't make his actual objective any clearer. The first step was moving away from Green, which he had done. It was going to be a time to clear his head. He had already sort of come to terms with things, he just needed to move forward. Bulba thought he already knew what he needed to do for himself to do that he was just… nervous. He was nervous.

The goal, then, was possibly to ease his nerves. It would maybe help to spend time with other saurs, he theorized. The Ivysaur was feeling better about himself lately, but that didn't change the fact that he didn't have a lot of time with others under his belt. His understanding could always stand to be better, and it might have helped to watch them in association with a Venusaur.

It had nothing to do with the Venusaur himself, though spending time with him was always a nice bonus.

When he made it to Vermillion he took his time following the path to the forest, letting himself remember the scenery. It had changed, of course, since the last time he had been there. It had been quite a while, hadn't it? That made him feel both a bit somber and more determined all at the same time. Also undeniably nervous. Vinnie would have chided him for it, but he couldn't help it. The farther he went into the trees after he veered off the path, the stronger the butterflies in his stomach were.

So too was the feeling of dread when he began to realize he didn't actually remember the way to the Garden on his own. The instinctual beacon to follow just wasn't there for him, and he had been paying more attention to Vinnie than he had which way they were going before…. Nnnoo. Crap. Crap.

Bulba kept going for a little bit.

Bulba eventually turned around and walked out of the forest, dejectedly reaching for his phone.

He was almost worried this wasn't going to work out, but then the call clicked. "…Hey! Uh, Hi Vinnie…"
